Disneyland Park, Anaheim, California

Who doesn't like Disneyland? Disneyland in California has been our go-to park more than a decade.

Growing up in India , I always wanted to visit Disneyland - "The magical place on Earth". I have watched classic Disney shows on TV like House of Mouse, Ducktales, Aladdin, Chip n' Dale, Peter pan and many more since my elementary school and they were amazing brilliant animated series that hold dear to me. My Sunday morning time would be watching cartoons. Somehow today, I’m reminiscing those beautiful days and simpler time! πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡

So when I came to US, since then till now we visited Disneyland many times & honestly never got tired of it. We even visited Disney World, Florida few years ago and I will definitely write a blog about it separately, so follow the journey with me!

Disneyland in Southern California was originally named “The Mickey Mouse Park" changed to “Disneylandia” to now "Disneyland Park" opened on July 17th, 1955 by Walt Disney.

So, let me take you the world of Yesterday, Tomorrow and Fantasy Land.πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ

Disneyland has a "demand-based" pricing system for the tickets admission.

Whenever we go, initially we use to buy "Fast Pass" tickets, since recent years Disney introduced "MaxPass" which is a combination of "Fast Pass" attraction and unlimited  "PhotoPass" where you can download photos of the day you visited Disneyland and I definitely recommend downloading the Disneyland app which allows you to check ride times, makes fast pass reservations ( again, you can only have "one" Fast Pass at a time) and link your "PhotoPass" passport to your Disney account in your app to check your photos and download it immediately.

There are Disney PhotoPass photographers are stationed at various check points/ attractions. Once the photographer takes your photo , he will scan your app or "MagicBand" with a scanner and all you have to say is "cheese!".

Upon entering the theme park, I recommend you to take the Disneyland Map for the attractions, shopping and dining available from the kiosk at entrance of the park or help center nearby. Although you can see all these in the map on your phone app but its better to keep a physical map around.

Disneyland theme park have 2 internals parks i.e.., Disneyland and California Adventures , both are a must do for everybody!

Disneyland Park consists of 9 themed "lands"-

1. Main Street, U.S.A

2. Adventureland

3. Frontierland

4. New Orleans Square

5. Critter Country

6. Fantasyland

7. Mickey's Toon town

8. Tomorrowland

9. Star Wars Galaxy

Each "Land" has its own attractions, rides , shopping and dining as per the "theme".

Ps: Food and drinks are expensive. Guests are allowed to bring outside food but with restriction. Better to inform the Security at the entrance of any food items you carry. Pls check the FAQ's from their website below

Disneyland has been showcasing night time fireworks and parade for a long time.

Fireworks ! Ah , what a magical show ! Although crowded but it was incredible, shown infront of and surrounding Cinderella's castle.

If you have already been to Disneyland, you would probably know the details of all the 9 "themed" lands. If you haven't, I would suggest you to "go over" this article once to get an idea overall and experience the "Magic" yourself by going there onsite whenever possible because I believe "nothing can match the joy you experience feeling the MAGIC and seeing smiles of your younger ones".
