Japanese Tea Garden, San Francisco, California

Having visited most of the major tourist attractions in California before, we thought we would go to some place relaxing after visiting de Young Museum, an Art museum in San Francisco.

So, we visited the Japanese Tea Garden @ San Francisco, just a short walk from “de Young Museum” and “the Academy of Sciences”.

We enjoyed this peaceful gorgeous gardens about 3 acres for a short self-guided walk with no map in hand (mind you πŸ˜‰  you have to guess your way around) with very interesting structures influenced by Buddhist and Shinto belief to see πŸ―! I loved to see the koi fishes in the pond. I expected more, but again it’s a garden with manicured shrubs, winding paths, bridges, pagodas, gift shop and a cafe. Perfect scenery place for you if you love photography and short time peace from the outside hustle and bustle busy world.

There is a beautiful Buddha shrine which I appreciate in the serenity of the garden.

PS:  I remember the parking area appeared very crowded during weekends when I visited. So, I suggest if interested in visiting this place either early for getting a suitable parking spot or make an alternative travel arrangement to reach there.

Note: I am not sure I remember correctly, but if you are a San Francisco resident and Veterans entry fees for visiting Japanese Tea Garden is for free and non-San Francisco residents - visitors have to pay $13.00 per adult.

Stay Safe friends and have fun exploring my blog and if possible do visit these places whenever your free…😊

Until my next article….πŸ‘‹
