Chabot Space & Science Center, Oakland, California

It had been a couple of years since I visited Chabot Space & Science Center @ Oakland. When my son was a preschooler, we often used to take him to this museum which is exciting and educational to do since he was so much into Earth Science esp. Solar system, galaxies, stars and so on.⭐🌞🌎

Chabot was founded as an observatory in 1883, now it offers visitors latest in hands-on interactive exhibits, push button displays and many Planetarium shows exploring the mysteries of the universe and on earth. 🌟🌠

The entrance ticket admission has an access to Chabot’s hands-on interactive exhibitions, a large full-dome Planetarium and a historic Observatory, a bit pricey but it was worth every penny. It has become our Bay Area's go-to destination. 🎫

There are several hands-on Exhibits like an exhibit about "the moon", "Mars" are interesting. You could take your time walking through each exhibit. Saw some interesting close up items on shuttles, space suits, space food and how the astronauts get around in space etc.πŸš€

They actually have Einstein's telescope for display.

They also have a "Moon Rock" for display brought back by Apollo 15 crew in 1971.πŸŒ›πŸŒœ

There is a cafΓ© or a Bistro, I don't remember the name exactly but they serve adorable kids and tasty adult meals. You can bring your own food too, Choice is yours.

The gift shop is a great place to buy souvenirs for both kids and adults.

Would definitely suggest visitors of all ages who want to discover and learn about space and earth sciences to visit at least once.

Ps: Due to Covid, I think Chabot is TEMPORARILY CLOSED. But please visit their website for further information to plan your Visit when they start opening to Public.
