Universal Studios @ Orlando, Florida

As you all know by now that whenever I'm idle or free, I go thru my travel photo albums for my blog to write some interesting travel experiences. So, I came across an album of Universal Studios at Orlando when we visited Florida.

As I wrote in my previous article, we had a 10 days vacation @ Florida when we visited during Christmas 7 years ago.

Please visit the link for more details about our 10 days vacation @ Florida  https://sk-digilance.blogspot.com/2021/11/the-sunshine-state-florida.html

So I will be writing more about my Florida Travels in my upcoming posts. So, please watch out for new posts in my Blog.

Living in pacific coast for almost 2 decades, I have been visiting Universal Studios in California for years and it is always plenty of fun! But when we went to Universal Studios @ Florida for the first time, it was an incredibly memorable experience and definitely worth the money we spend. And mind you, taking 10 days vacation with whole family to long distance (i.e.., West to East) with Flight tickets, 3 star - 4 star Hotel stay, renting a Car for 10 days and entrance tickets to all the places listed here ( https://sk-digilance.blogspot.com/2021/11/the-sunshine-state-florida.html)  is NOT a small amount.

So as a regular at theme parks over the years whether its Disneyland, Universal @ California, Six Flags @ California,  seasonal passes to local zoos and parks, I've never gotten the incredible experience we got at Universal @ Florida may be because we were too excited.

We booked 2 days "park hopper" Express Pass to skip the regular lines online in advance. If you have a "park hopper", you can go both to Universal studios and to the Island of Adventure part of the park (park-to-park access) within the same day.

Any "Harry Potter" movies/ books Fan here ?

The "Wizarding World of Harry Potter" theme is amazing, much better and spacious than the one in California. When you visit "Universal Studios", you can enter Diagon Alley and enjoy the mind-blowing ride and magical experiences. If you at "Islands of Adventure", you can visit both Hogwarts castle and explore Hogsmeade's village.

Since we had the 2 days "park hopper" Express Pass, so rode the Hogwarts Express which was super fun just like the movie. My suggestion is to get to park early to avoid crowd as the train ride does fill up fast. Like the rest of Universal Studios rules, even they require everyone to put their belongings in lockers even thou its time consuming.

Overall, I highly recommend this Harry Potter experience @ Orlando. There are a lot of other great things to see and do at Universal, but nothing tops Diagon Alley in my bucket list!

I will be writing more about my experience in "Wizarding World of Harry Potter" in next article. So, please watch out for new posts in my blog.

The "Universal Studios" part houses the Simpsons area, Kid Zone area, Fast & the Furious, Transformers, Men in Black, ET, Revenge of the Mummy (although 15 years old but still fun ride ), Jimmy Fallon 3D motion-simulator, "Despicable Me" Minion Mayhem (my favorite computer-animated simulator ride - where I went inside at least 3 times to enjoy the simulator ride), Shrek 4D, Diagon Alley and among others.

Once inside the theme park, it's a good walk around and you easily spend several hours depending on how fast or slow you are. But mind you depending on the season it can be crowded or semi-crowded.  I remember the park was very clean, the lines and the rides were well managed by the friendly staff and the rides itself were fantastic! Staff at the information center were friendly and helpful!

We've been to a lot of theme parks over the years with our kid. While I appreciate aspects of most of them, Universal Studios whether in California or Florida is the one where I do look forward to going the most. Disney is good but Universal studios triggers the fascination a bit more. I recommend this theme park for both kids and adults alike as there are somethings for just about everyone.

Stay Safe friends and Have fun exploring my Blog and if possible do visit these places whenever ur free…😷

Until my next article ….πŸ‘‹
