Universal's Islands of Adventure @ Orlando, Florida ( The Wizarding World of Harry Potter )

When Harry Potter and ‎the Philosopher's Stone (or Sorcerer's Stone) released in 2001, I was fascinated 😍 with the fictional Witchcraft school i.e.., Hogwarts and kids beings WizardsπŸ§™ with amazing visual effects in a movie. I remember to this day, as soon as I watched the first movie in 2001, I immediately bought the Initial Harry Potter book series πŸ“—πŸ“˜πŸ“™ written by J. K. Rowling ( Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets ) and when the later books released I went to Borders bookstore and bought them esp. Order of the Phoenix (2003), Half-Blood Prince (2005) and Deathly Hallows (2007).

When Universal Studios California introduced Harry Potter themed area, I was so excited since we lived in pacific region and the child in me had always wanted to experience the magical Wizarding World after seeing the movies. So, we booked the tickets and went to Universal California again and this time to visit "Harry Potter" themed area only and we definitely had a wonderful experience. πŸ§™πŸ§™

When we started planning for 10 days vacation @ Florida when we visited few years ago, I immediately booked 2 days "park hopper" Express Pass for visiting Universal Studios @ Orlando which has both Universal studios and the Island of Adventure and the "park hopper" is to have park-to-park access within the same day.

Note: If you do have a school going kid, Make sure to explain them about Harry Potter adventures or let them see or read 1 or 2 movies/books of the same series before going to Universal Studios either @ California or Florida. They will understand and get excited along with you.

Universal Studio's masterpiece or prime attraction is Harry Potter's Diagon Alley which is perfectly hidden from view i.e.., muggles view as you would expect it to be. Once you go inside the themed area of Harry potter all of the details you remember or read from the books and the movies are there in front of you . The attention to detail is absolutely astounding as if you are part of Harry Potter series.

The ride "Escape from Gringotts" @ Diagon Alley is really mind-blowing and magical.

The enormous dragon from "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows" on the Gringotts Bank building breathes fire every 10 minutes and definitely worth waiting for a perfect picture opportunities.

The Hogwarts Express @ King's Cross Station was a fun experience especially with the mirage of entering 9 3/4 station. Must have the 2 park hopper to ride it.πŸš‰

The Butterbeer is very delicious but the line to buy butterbeer was exhausting. But definitely worth a try at least once !! 🍺🍺🍺

There are many Harry Potter fans buying a wand to get the full interactive experience.

This place is out of the world!! No doubt about it...

Now coming to Islands of Adventure part of the park, you can visit both Hogwarts castle and Hogsmeade village.

Hogwarts Castle includes "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey" which is a fun flight through the castle very similar to what they have shown in the movies. There is a short walk before taking the ride where we can see talking portraits in the hallways, the replicas of Dumbledore's office, classrooms and  Gryffindor common room. The ride projects Hogwarts' castle, Quidditch match etc. πŸŽ’

"Flight Of The Hippogriff" is a small roller coaster ride near the castle. πŸŽ’

"Hagrid's Motorbike" Adventure is also one of the most thrilling "motorbike" roller coaster ride.🎒

Before going for every ride, there are lockers installed nearby for safe keeping.

Apart from Harry Potter theme rides, there are other attractions where you and your kids can enjoy like Hulk coaster, Spiderman 3-D, MIB (Men in Black), Transformers, Popeye’s ride, King Kong ride 🦍 and many more....🦸‍♀️🦸🦹‍♂️🦹‍♀️πŸ¦ΉπŸ•΄

Jurassic Park River Adventure is one of the older and water-based amusement ride, but it is by far one of y family's favorite rides. I think the drop into the water is around 75 to 85 feet with a vertical angle of 50- 60 degrees. I heard they remodeled the whole attraction with special effects few years ago.

Poseidon's Fury is an archeologist walking tour of a mythic temple of Poseidon with lot of special effects indoor including fire, water and sound effects.🧜‍♂️

Overall we had lot of fun @ Universal Studios - Orlando. 🀩🀩
