Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge, BC, Canada
Lynn Canyon park is a hidden gem, a beautiful haven to me and one of the best place for hike with a suspension bridge in Vancouver. Opened in 1912 with 617 acres of forest land making it the largest park in North Vancouver. The Suspension bridge is small but It's free (you can make a donation at the ecology center).

For those who are fans of TV series such as Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, some parts of the show was filmed in this area. Amazing Isn't it !! I loved watching both the shows.
I was searching online since there are lots of hikes around there to discover but found Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge is often compared to the nearby Capilano Suspension Bridge which has admission fee of $55 for adults, $50 for seniors and $42 for students. I thought we visit the free park (Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge) first then go to the paid ones'.
Lynn Canyon Park has a beautiful scenery, a waterfalls, an ecology center has interactive exhibits to learn about surrounding plants, animals, people and also British Columbia's natural history and environmental issues. I heard from the staff working in the eco center that school organized field trips to learn more about local and global ecology.
Very clean trails with lots of other hikers, quite a few stairs at some portions of the hike so take that into consideration and well maintained restrooms.
Amazing things to see while hiking around the nature. The air is very refreshing too. A lovely hike for the whole family!
Parking lot is tight which quickly fills the space but was able to find something since we visited during a early hours. But most importantly it's PAID parking and the area has a 3 hour maximum limit so it's necessary to keep track of time. There are meters for the parking and is in different locations in the lots and near the cafΓ©.
Highly recommend this experience! It's far, but coming here is definitely worth the trouble!
Ps: It is also noted that many people have died in Lynn Canyon in the past 25 years often by cliff-jumping . PLEASE DO NOT JUMP from the CLIFF !!
