Bothell Hindu Temple, Bothell, Washington

As I wrote before in https://sk-digilance.blogspot.com/2020/12/a-mandir-is-hindu-place-of-worship.html "temple" or "Mandir" is a place of worship to enlighten our souls with positiveness and request our deities to forgive our sins we have done knowingly and unknowingly.

Bothell Hindu Temple is a traditional style temple designed with a South Indian style tower also called "Gopuram" on the top, the temple has a grand elevation and Dhwaja stumbha (flagstaff), a common feature of South Indian Hindu temples established in 1980's in Bothell, a city in the King and Snohomish counties, Washington, United States to worship Lord Venkateshwara, an avatar of Lord Vishnu, however other deities such as Lord Ganesh, Lord Rama-Laxman-Goddess Sita, Radha-Krishna and other God & Goddess idols are also situated in the second hall next to main hall.

This temple is similar to Livermore Hindu temple in California. Check the details here if you are planning to visit Bay Area California- https://sk-digilance.blogspot.com/2021/02/shiva-vishnu-hindu-temple-livermore-ca.html

I personally like to visit temples which ever country I travel to spend time worshipping God/ Goddess and to find inner peace. I also like to teach my kid about our culture and beliefs.

Bothell Hindu Temple is well maintained non-profit organization and cultural center, very peaceful atmosphere with almost all deities including Navagraha. There is also a Mahavir Jain deity inside the main hall. We were offered Prasadam / Food box for "To-Go".

A great place and experience with a spiritual thought if you are familiar with Hinduism and lots of  cultural activities are conducted within the community. Many Indians surrounding the vicinity of Bothell visit here to worship regularly especially during festivals.

Of course, there are some rules to follow as usual like every other Hindu Temple :

1. You are more than welcome in taking photos outside the temple and with the temple's exterior. However, you can't photograph inside and we have to respect their wishes.

2. Suggest to wear dresses that cover the whole body from neck till knees/legs to respect Hindu Culture and traditions. Overall, dress like you would normally do, while erring on the side of conservative

3. Wear shoes that you can slip on and off easily because you'll be asked to take them off before entering the temple.

Mandir is free and open to the public. If you ever in or visiting Washington, go check it out yourself.

Photos can't describe the surreal experience !
