Legoland - Carlsbad, California.

I was going thru my travel photo albums for my blog when I came across an album of Legoland in California.

Although, I have been to Legoland many times since I have a son and loves building Legos till date. I wanted to share some photos and details of our Legoland 2- days trip ( we bought 2-days 3 parks Legoland hopper to Sea Life ticket Fast Pass) when we visited for the first time in 2010 during Christmas. We enjoyed and had such a great time a lot more than I thought we would so we have been frequently visiting Legoland since then. I'd say it's enjoyable for kids up to about age of 12, parents and grandparents. The park is generally packed with so many visitors, which should not have surprised to me as summer and winter holidays are the peak vacation for many families out of school.

Since recent few years on our frequent visit to this theme park , Legoland created an app and we were smart enough to be able to download their app on our phones, which allowed us to check for ride wait times and helped us select which rides were best to even think about queueing up for.

Ps: Suggest taking a "Fast pass" like we do always whenever we visit theme parks to make things a lot quicker and easier when navigating through the park to get on some of the rides!

Legoland California Resort is a Lego-theme based combination of theme park, miniature park, Sea life aquarium and hotels (Legoland Resort Hotel, Legoland Castle Hotel) featuring more than 60 rides, shows and attractions located in Carlsbad, California.

Miniland USA:

The one land that we truly liked was their Miniland USA, a miniature park which featured a display of miniature buildings and models in historic and noteworthy cityscapes recreating American and world famous places in colorful Lego form.

As we had 2-day 3 park hopper passes for Legoland, the water park and aquarium. We were able to cover everything for 2 full days here

Sea life Aquarium:

The exhibits at SEA LIFE Aquarium with the LEGO models inside the water tanks make this aquarium unique comparable to aquarium exhibits we've seen elsewhere. It's always exciting to see real sea creatures swimming among colorful LEGO models. It has a shark tunnel and more than 200 species – 5,000 animals in all.

Lego Waterpark:

During our visits to Lego Waterpark, we usually avoided the huge lines to get into Water Park as we arrived earlier than 11 a.m. or after 2 p.m. The water park usually opens mid-March in time for spring break and runs through early November.

Ps: Bring a set of extra clothes incase u want to go ahead with Lego Waterpark and you will definitely get wet.

For Parking Tip: I recommend paying for the Regular parking of $25 especially if u get there early than $35 Preferred Parking. If u go late, you will walk a bit but it's ok good for exercising.

Food Tip:  The prices for food and snack is surprisingly reasonable compared to other theme parks.

I hope you've enjoyed my LEGOLAND California experience and tips that can help u make the most of your time at the park when u visit.

Bye for now until my next blog update with different place and destination !!πŸ’—
